Michael Kane art at His Light Studios

Started drawing as a child, sold my first painting in grade school to a teacher. Went to the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, then Moody Bible Institute. Did caricatures and portraits at the 1982 World's Fair then started my career in graphic design. After a long hiatus from the art world I decided it was time.

I like graphite first because the prep and clean up is easy.(does that make me lazy?)  I've been known to do some marker work, pen & ink and airbrush. Started trying my hand at painting with a brush not too long ago, I liked it. So really I'll try anything once. You can commission a custom artwork today! 

Horses, really any animals, scenery, people, so basically anything can put an idea in my head for my next art piece. But my true inspiration comes from The One who created me to create. The God of the Bible, the Creator of all creation.
